Hygienic Guard Lock
The Hygienic Guard Lock (HGL) is a 3-A approved hygienic interlock with stainless steel construction and FDA food contact compliant silicon seals. Specifically designed for use in situations where regular washdown occurs and where hygiene and good sanitation are critical.

Compact, robust unit, designed for use in hygienic applications, particularly food contact, with washdown environments and frequent cleaning cycles.
IP67 & IP69 Rating
Maximum ingress protection against water and foreign body ingress during open plant cleaning, clean-in-place procedures, and harsh sanitation routines.
Monitored and Controlled Access
Interlock monitoring to detect guard opening. Interlocks can also include a solenoid controlled locking functionality for guard locking or locking for the protection of process.
Robust Actuator
Stainless steel actuator with a retention force of 8kN and high misalignment capabilities. Actuator can pivot and self-centre to cope with guard misalignment.
OSSD Connections
Daisy-chainable OSSD connections to reduce cabling requirements. Up to 8 Hygienic Guard Locks can be linked with daisy-chainable connectors.
Device Status Outputs
A shatterproof LED at the base of the device provides clear state indication from all angles and at a distance.
