A proNet option pod enables connection of amGardpro interlocks and control stations to EtherNet/IP, PROFINET and EtherCAT networks. Safety I/O is communicated using PROFIsafe, CIP Safety, or Safety over EtherCAT (FSoE). Installation and validation can be performed at reduced time and cost compared to hardwired connections.
Interlocks, control stations, and I/O blocks modules can be connected to industrial networks. The highly configurable design of the networked option pods allows the incorporation of elements such as pushbutton controls, integrated safety I/O, as well as connectors for external and distributed I/O, in a cost-efficient solution. Units can be ordered with the respective mating cables in a variety of lengths.
An integrated network switch allows devices to be daisy-chained without additional hardware.
Device information, supply voltage, and network statistics are available via the device webpage.
Up to 3 dual–channel safety inputs are available alongside standard I/O for pushbuttons and lamps.
A variety of connector sets are available to suit line, ring, star, or tree topologies.
The base of the proNet option pod provides LED indication of device status and DIP switches for address setting.
Connect external safety devices like light curtains, or standard I/O such as light stacks, alarms and beacons.
Trapped keys can be used to control access or as proactive inhibit functions to protect personnel. RFID coded personnel keys are also available.
Available as a standalone product or as part of an amGardpro interlock, option pods allow the incorporation of pushbuttons, selector switches, lamps, and emergency stops.
Interlock monitoring to detect guard opening. Interlocks can also include a solenoid controlled locking functionality for guard locking or locking for the protection of process.
Escape release options to allow personnel to leave the safeguarded space should they become trapped. Single action, push reset, or key reset variants available.
A variety of actuators for hinged and sliding guards. Market leading misalignment capabilities to cope with guards’ movement and variability in machine guarding installation.
Devices can be pre-fitted on mounting plates, reducing installation time and costs. Multiple connector configurations are available with the respective mating cables in different lengths.
The proNet option pod supports Power over Ethernet (PoE), integrating power and data transmission via a single cable for simplified installations and reduced hardware requirements. Minimize setup time and complexity and eliminate the need for junction boxes or dependency on local power outlets.
