Mechanical Door Module for Key Operated Access Control

Mechanical Door module (DM/DMS/DMSK) are designed for minimising risk as operators access hazardous environments.

This device will be part of a sequenced mechanical system which receives a key which has been extracted from a source of hazardous energy. The door module will trap an actuator (remain closed) until the correct key is inserted and rotated into the lock barrel.

Where more than one lock is present, additional sequential processes can be administered.

The Door Access Module Installed to Partial Body Access Points

“When operators enter hazardous areas, how can they be protected from the restart of Hazardous Energy?”

Protect personnel entering hazardous areas from unexpected restart with a personnel safety key.

Why Choose the Mechanical Door Module (DM)?

Control of Hazardous Energy; in order to insert a key and access a hazardous area, the key must be released from a means of hazardous energy. The Mechanical Door Module (DM) enables the transfer of mechanical keys from the isolation point to the access point.

Mechanical-Only Access is permitted via a sequence; no electrical connection is required at the access point.

How to Design Your Mechanical Door Module?

DMS2E – Forced Extraction and the Mechanical Door Module

The Forced-Extraction Mechanical Door Module forces an operator to remove a key in order to open the door, ensuring their safety key is pocketed when they enter a safeguarded space during whole body access.

Mounting your Mechanical Door Module

Install your door module with ease using our custom built mounting solution.
