Interlock monitoring to detect guard opening. Interlocks can also include a solenoid controlled locking functionality for guard locking or locking for the protection of process.
An escape release (ER) is available only for interlocks with guard locking. Suitable for hinged guards where no other locking or latching means is used.
Stainless steel actuator with a retention force of 8kN and high misalignment capabilities. Actuator can pivot and self-centre to cope with guard misalignment.
Daisy-chainable OSSD connections to reduce cabling requirements. Up to 8 Atom units can be linked with daisy chainable connectors.
A shatterproof LED at the base of the device provides clear state indication from all angles and at a distance.
Angled brackets (also available with a handle) compatible with sliding and hinged guards, for simplified mounting.

The self-centering actuator accommodates misalignment in both hinged and sliding guards, while RFID coding prevents defeat of the interlock. Moreover, ATOM’s stainless-steel head has an open design to prevent dust, dirt, and corrosion from impacting the performance of the device.
ATOM can be configured for many applications either as a guard locking or a process locking interlock. Multiple units can also be connected with OSSD functionality, preventing fault masking. The large LED lens at the base provides clear state indication from all angles and at a distance.
